The recently held South East Asian Games this year decided for the first time to include wakeboarding as part of the games and this meant that a number of the sport's biggest names decided to put their hats in for the wakeboard tower and water sports competition. Participants in the games included Sasha Christian, Kalya Lee and Matthew Christian. Singapore won big with their team as resident Sasha Christian walked off with a bronze in the individual category and two other wins that netted her a silver medal and a gold medal for her participation in the competition.
